Launch to Assist Local Fishing Vessel

Selsey RNLI All Weather Lifeboat 'Voluntary Worker' launched at 07:14 to go to the assistance of the 10-metre fishing vessel 'Nicholas C' with two persons on board reported to have suffered mechanical failure approximately 6 miles southeast of Selsey Lifeboat Station.

'Voluntary Worker' arrived on scene at 07:43 and a tow was passed to the casualty which was towed back to her moorings at Selsey.

The Lifeboat was released at 09:10, re-housed straight away, and was made ready for service by 09:40.
