Selsey RNLI Lifeboat Responds to Mayday Call

UK Coastguard (Dover) paged the volunteer crew at Selsey RNLI at 12.01 p.m. on Friday 9th June.

The inshore Lifeboat was requested to launch and go to the assistance of a windsurfer reported to be in difficulty off Felpham near Bognor Regis. The wind was South Westerly force 5 in sunshine.

With the Lifeboat at the water’s edge and the crew about to board, the Coastguards reported that the windsurfer was OK and stood the Lifeboat and crew down.
