Selsey Inshore Lifeboat Conducts Search After Finding Lilo During Exercise

The inshore Lifeboat (ILB) launched on exercise at 6.30 p.m. on Thursday 5th July. During the exercise they came across a clam shaped lilo off of Park Lane, Selsey.

After informing the UK Coastguard the inshore Lifeboat crew were asked to conduct a search in the immediate area for anyone that might have been on the lilo. A comprehensive search of the area and moorings off of Selsey was completed before the ILB dropped the recovered lilo at the station before continuing with the exercise. Weather on scene was wind Westerly force 2-3, sea state slight in light cloud.
