Selsey Inshore Lifeboat Launched to Girl on Lilo Being Blown Offshore

The RNLI inshore lifeboat (ILB) was launched at the request of the UK Coastguard after they received reports of a young female being blown out sea to sea at Aldwick near Bognor Regis.

The ILB launched at 11.50 a.m. on Thursday 5th September and made best speed to Aldwick however, just after launching the Coastguards reported that the girl had made it back to the beach and the ILB was stood down and returned to station. The weather was wind Northwest force 4 sea state smooth in sunshine.
