Selsey Lifeboat Benefits from Book Sales

11th May 2017

Martin Rudwick being presented with the cheque by Rosalind Scott

On Thursday 11th May 2017 Rosalind Scott and her husband, Peter, came to Selsey Lifeboat station during trials with the new Shannon class Lifeboat. Rosalind had previously phoned the station to say she wanted to present a cheque for £500 to the station.

Rosalind has written a book about her and Peter's adventures over 15 years of cruising, usually with her mother-in-law, Lillian. The book is called 'Aweigh with my Mother-in-Law', is available from Amazon for £12.99, and the proceeds from the sales will go to the RNLI. The cheque was the first instalment.

Rosalind picked the ideal day to present the cheque to Martin Rudwick, Coxswain, as she could see the new boathouse and a Shannon class Lifeboat similar to the one which is to be stationed at Selsey from June.
