Cameron's Readathon Raises £110.10 for Selsey Lifeboat

February 2018

To read 20 books in 25 days is quite a challenge but this is the challenge Cameron Sutherland set himself in November. Cameron is aged 12 and, living in Selsey all his life, is a very frequent visitor to RNLI Selsey Lifeboat Station. He wanted to raise money to support the volunteer crews at Selsey Lifeboat and, having been advised that car washing in winter was not the best idea, he set out to find sponsors to support him in his Readathon.

Cameron attends Seaford College in Petworth and is very keen on the performing arts. He spent three months in the West End in the cast of the Snowman. His sponsors came from family, school friends and fellow Snowman cast members.

Cameron recently visited the station and presented the volunteer crew with the magnificent sum of £110.10 on completion of his challenge. We'd like to say a huge thank you to Cameron and all his sponsors for their support and we hope that they will continue to visit and support Selsey Lifeboat.
