The Boys' Brigade 'posh' coffee morning in support of Selsey RNLI was a great success on Saturday 13th February. It was a busy morning with a happy buzz of conversation. Six boys from the Junior Section served the guests with lots and lots of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The cake stall was also well frequented and all but cleared - just a few cakes left for the Sunday congregation to buy the next day.
Local RNLI representatives came to the coffee morningwith lots of information in the form of display boards, leaflets, and a video which ran on the big screen all morning. They also had flags and balloons along with a stall of RNLI souvenirs which proved popular, especially with the children.
A total of £173.93 was raised from the sale of drinks and cakes with £106.30 from the souvenir stall making a grand total of £280.23 for Selsey RNLI.
The Boys' Brigade and Selsey RNLI would like to thank everyone who supported the event, by coming along and donating cakes.
(The Boys' Brigade subsequently visited Selsey Lifeboat Station where they presented the Acting Coxswain, Geoff Mellett, with the cheque.)
