Amy Webb from South London is running in the Silverstone Half Marathon on the 15th March in aid of the RNLI Selsey Lifeboat Shannon Appeal. She set a target of £200 and has already raised £386... Amy says -
"Iíll be running the Silverstone Half Marathon on 15th March 2015 to support the RNLI Selsey Lifeboats! I am running for two reasons, initially, to raise money for such a worthy cause; I am lucky enough to have family in Selsey so I am aware of the hard work and time all RNLI volunteer crew put in to training to save lives at sea... On a personal level, I have decided to run the half marathon to get myself back into running as a sport and take on a challenge!

Congratulations and a huge thank you to Amy on successfully completing the Silverstone Half Marathon on 15th March in the excellent time of 2hr 15min in very wet and windy conditions. She has to date raised just over £500 for the Selsey Lifeboat Shannon Appeal and the total is still rising! Amy visited the station on 21st March and was photographed with a cheque showing the amount raised at that date.
