Off Centre Choir performed 'Sea of Songs' in the new Selsey Lifeboat Station on Saturday 1st April 2017. The audience of 140 were treated to various songs including "You Are the New Day", "Down by the Riverside" and "Sussex by the Sea", to name but a few.
The ticket price included either a glass of wine or a soft drink and drinks were also served during the interval when the audience could mingle with the choir.
It was reported that the acoustics in the boat hall were superb and so we look forward to more concerts being held in this unique venue.
As an aside, a retired GP from Selsey Health Centre, Hilary Platts, is a member of the choir and performed two solo songs during the evening (and very well too, I might add). She was the instigator of the concert and so we'd like to thank her, and, of course, the choir for helping us raise the magnificent amount of £1675.
