Steve is cycling around the coast of the UK raising money for the RNLI.
He is doing the route in stages, calling at all the RNLI stations on the way. The first stage took him from Penlee Lifeboat station past Lands End and finishing at Portishead RNLI, close to his home in Bristol; the second stage took him around the Welsh coastline to Flint RNLI on the river Dee.
On Tuesday 14th June Steve visited Selsey Lifeboat Station.
Steve explained how he ended up taking this challenge:"My Mother-in-Law was a great supporter of the RNLI and fundraiser at Lowestoft Lifeboat station. After she passed away I decided to cycle from St Davids in Wales (a favourite holiday destination) to Lowestoft, in her memory. There was a great welcome waiting for me when I arrived back at Lowestoft and one of the volunteer crew suggested next time cycling right round the coast - having drunk a glass of bubbly on an empty stomach I agreed!"
All the volunteers at Selsey Lifeboat Station wish him a safe and enjoyable ride. Any one wishing to sponsor Steve can do so here.
