As at 23rd July 2015 the total raised by the Sponsored Walk is £1572
The Registration Team assembled at the Inshore Boathouse at 6.30 a.m. in, what can only be described as, the middle of a hurricane, ready to meet their enthusiastic team of marshalls.
After the marshalls had cheerfully departed we waited for the first of the walkers to arrive, hoping that the torrential rain and high winds would clear away. Alas, we were out of luck.
Despite our worst fears of no one venturing out we had 75 brave walkers take part, in what can only be described as some of the worst conditions we have seen on a May Day weekend. So a big thank you to all those who took part., who between them managed to raise a tremendous amount of £1572.
Also a big thank you to the marshalls for giving up their day to help out, never moaning once!!!
The weather did eventually clear up, about the time yours truly had to cycle around the course collecting the signage...
