Selsey Shantymen to sing in their final outdoor appearance at Selsey Lifeboat Station on Sunday October 31st at 2 p.m. Their first indoor appearance will be at The Fisherman's Joy on Tuesday 19th October, time TBA.

Welcome to RNLI Selsey Lifeboat Station's Website

Today's lifeboat station at Selsey operates an all weather Shannon class lifeboat (AWL 13-20 'Denise and Eric') and a D class inshore lifeboat (ILB D-827 'Flt Lt John Buckley RAF'). Over its 155-year History the Crew have been presented with 10 awards for gallantry.

Both the Lifeboat Station and Lifeboat Shop are open. The shop hours are from 10.30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday. The station hours are the same but open every day.

We're delighted to be able to welcome visitors to the Lifeboat Station again. This means we are looking for volunteers to join our friendly Visit Guide Team. Are you you able to spare 3 hours a week to help our visitors understand the role of the RNLI, learn about the Selsey Lifeboats and gently encourage donations? If you are interested and would like to learn more about joining the small friendly Visit Team, please either email Colin Rycraft or message us on Facebook Join Us on Facebook.
Preparations are already underway for Lifeboat Week 2022 and volunteers are needed to come forward to either join the Fundraising Committee or register their interest in assisting with any of the numerous tasks that are involved in organising it.
